Joe Biden Accuses Russia Trying To Disrupt 2022 Elections

Washington, United States:  US President Joe Biden on Tuesday accused his Russian counterpart of seeking to disrupt the 2022 congressional elections by spreading "misinformation." "Look at what Russia is doing already about the 2022 elections and misinformation," Biden said during a trip to the office of the director of national intelligence near Washington, referring to information he receives during his daily briefing. "It's a pure violation of our sovereignty." He also lashed out at Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin has "a real problem, he is sitting on top of an economy that has nuclear weapons and nothing else," Biden said. "He knows he is in real trouble, which makes him even more dangerous in my view." The US leader also expressed concern about the recent increase in cyberattacks, including via ransomware, which typically see hackers encrypting victims' data and then demanding money for restored access. ...

Joe Biden says getting vaccinated 'gigantically important'

CINCINNATI: President Joe  Biden  expressed pointed frustration Wednesday over the slowing Covid-19 vaccination rate in the US and pleaded that it's "gigantically important'' for Americans to step up and get inoculated for the virus as it surges once again. Biden, speaking at a televised town hall in Cincinnati, said the public health crisis has turned largely into a plight of the unvaccinated as the spread of the delta variant has led to a surge in infections around the country. "We have a pandemic for those who haven't gotten the vaccination - it's that basic, that simple,'' he said on the CNN town hall. The president also expressed optimism that children under 12 will be approved for vaccination in the coming months. But he displayed exasperation that so many eligible Americans are still reluctant to get a shot. "If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized, you're not going to be in the  IC  unit, and...

Michael Cohen says he thinks Jared Kushner has already flipped on Trump

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's former personal attorney, said he thinks Jared Kushner has already flipped on his father-in-law as the criminal probe into Trump's business empire intensifies. Cohen did not offer any proof for his belief, but said he thought it was the case because of how little mention had been made of Kushner. He noted Wednesday that Kushner's name was absent from "all the controversy, indictments, and arrests" around the investigation. He speculated that this was because Kushner was already co-operating with prosecutors. "Interesting how Jared Kushner ... appears to be absent from all the controversy, indictments, and arrests," Cohen tweeted. "Is he next to fall or a cooperating witness? Knowing what a snake he is, I bet the latter!" Insider has contacted representatives of Kushner for comment. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office  on July 1 issued a 15-count indictment against the Trump Organization an...

PUBG’s Taego adds Train To Busan and Marvel’s Eternals star Don Lee

A new cinematic trailer for the upcoming  PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds   Taego update has been released, which gives a good look at the map – but more importantly, makes it seem as if Train To Busan and Marvel’s Eternals star Don Lee is a playable character. The  new CGI trailer  went up today in advance of  next week’s big Taego update , which goes live on July 7 and adds a brand new map as big as the original Miramar to PUBG – not to mention  a bunch of new features , of which some are highlighted in the new trailer. These include  a self-revive mechanic  and the Hyundai Pony Coupe, which seems to be officially licensed and not a lookalike. The big news is the appearance of South Korean-American actor Don Lee/Ma Dong-seok, who is best known as Sang-hwa in iconic zombie movie Train To Busan and will be seen as Gilgamesh in Marvel’s Eternals later this year. Earlier this week, Lee appeared in the  “P...

Biden Orders Probe Into US Cyberattack That Hit Over 1,000 Businesses

Stockholm:  One of the largest ransomware attacks in history spread worldwide on Saturday, forcing the Swedish Coop grocery store chain to close all 800 of its stores because it could not operate its cash registers. The shutdown of the major food retailer followed Friday's unusually sophisticated attack on U.S. tech provider Kaseya. The ransomware gang known as REvil is suspected of hijacking Kaseya's desktop management tool VSA and pushing a malicious update that infect tech management providers serving thousands of business. Huntress Labs, one of the first to sound the alarm of the wave of infections at the providers' clients, said Saturday that thousands of small companies might have been hit. Miami-based Kaseya said it was working with the FBI and that only about 40 of its customers were impacted directly. It did not comment on how many of those were providers that in turn spread the malicious software to others. The impacted businesses had files encrypt...

Explained: Can US President Donald Trump pardon himself?

With Donald Trump’s presidency entering its final weeks, the former businessman and television personality is expected to make full use of the outgoing presidential tradition of granting pardons. Some fear that the US President will wield his expansive power to pardon some of his closest aides, family members and maybe even himself. Trump — who faces a host of legal challenges, including multiple lawsuits and fraud allegations — will no longer have the extensive legal protections of the presidency once he formally exits the White House on January 20. Possibly pre-empting these legal issues, Trump has been asking aides whether he can self-pardon since 2017, according to a CNN report. In fact, an official told the news network that Trump was “obsessed with the power of pardons”. How does the presidential pardon work? All modern presidents of the United States have the constitutional right to pardon or commute the s...
